Meet Our Founder

Wonder Connect was founded by Matt Papa, a Japanese game industry veteran with 10 years of experience being the Western face of prominent Japanese game companies including INTI CREATES and SUNSOFT. He accomplished this while also working as an English Localization director on over 20 console game releases, and creating and executing marketing strategies for the very games he localized. 

Under Matt’s supervision, the titles he worked sold as high as 9 to 1 compared to the Japanese domestic releases. Whether online media social media platforms like Twitter, livestreams via Twitch, or major in-person events like PAX, Anime Expo and Tokyo Game Show, Matt has been working tirelessly to spread the word of the incredible Japanese games and anime he has had the pleasure of working on.
